• WE CAN arrange Cook Strait Ferry Bookings & Train travel within NZ on your behalf. **The free passenger ferry ticket offer for motorhome bookings of 14 days or more is not available with any other specials that are offered from time to time - this offer is subject to certain conditions**
• HIRE PERIOD: A Motorhome rental is calculated on a calendar day basis, not a 24 hour period. Meaning that you pay for the first and last day of hire. Collection is from 8am and drop off is no later than 4pm on last day of hire.
• Over the peak summer holiday period of mid December to mid January a minimum hire period of fourteen days does apply.
• There are no refunds for days unused. It is advisable to have suitable travel insurance to cover yourself in the event of an emergency.
• During other periods there is a minimum hire period of between seven to fourteen days on one way hires. This varies between different vehicles.  Shorter hires can sometimes be available - you do need to ask about the special conditions that may apply.
• All hire charges include New Zealand's Goods and Services Tax (GST) and unlimited mileage.
• CANCELLATIONS: All requests for cancellation of a booking must be in writing: by either email or fax. No cancellations can be accepted unless it is in writing and is received directly from you (the hirer). Once a period of 30 days or less from the time of commencement of the hire has been reached then the cancellation policies of the rental supply company also apply. These policies are contained within the Terms and Conditions of each individual supply company and are clearly available throughout the Auto Rentals Kiwi Travel web site. You must read the terms and conditions that apply to the vehicle you wish to hire, prior to making a reservation request. Any cancellation fees that apply are additional to the forfeiture of the reservation deposit amount
• When calculating the cancellation fees the calculations will be based on the full listed retail rate of the supplying rental company and not on any discounted rates
  
  ***We strongly urge our clients to have suitable travel insurance which offers cover in the event of an emergency***
  
  We will not be held responsible for delays to travel plans - e.g. weather conditions, plane delays, illness etc. Another reason why it is so important to have good travel insurance!
  
• DISCOUNTS
  Discounts are offered for "Long Term Hires" please enquire.

• PAYMENTS
  A deposit (non refundable)is required to secure a booking - the amount required will be advised in the quotation that is sent to you as this will vary depending upon which vehicle you hire. In some instances FULL BALANCE OF PAYMENT IS REQUIRED 30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE HIRE PROCEEDING. IF A HIRE  IS  BOOKED WITHIN THE 30 DAY COMMENCEMENT PERIOD FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.  If this is relevent to the vehicle that you will be hiring this will be advised to you in the quotation that we send to you.
  Our preferred method of payment is VISA or MASTER CARD

• VOUCHERS
  Once a deposit has been received your vouchers are issued and all relevent information is emailed to you. Please check all documentation upon receipt to ensure that all details are correct - this is your responsibility! Any errors must be advised to us immediately. We endeavour at all times to be 100% accurate but we are only human at the end of the day!

• Vouchers must be presented prior to collection of your vehicle or the boarding of your ferry. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have received and downloaded your vouchers, and put them in a safe place with your travel documents for easy reference.

  WE WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for any delays to your travel plans if you do not bring your travel documents with you

   

  The vouchers that we send to you have the details that you need prior to the collection of your vehicle and must be read thoroughly ~ they will explain the depot address, telephone numbers, hours of operation and means of courtesy transfers (if offered)

  If you have not received your vouchers either contact us or CHECK YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDERS

• REFERRALS
  We are happy to provide you with referrals - customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us and we have many happy clients who are only to happy to attest to our service.
  
  SPECIFICATIONS MAY VARY BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL VEHICLES. 
• Full payment is required for ferry/train tickets at the time of booking - a NZ $50.00 cancellation fee will apply, if travel is canceled within 3 days of booked departure date there will be NO REFUNDS - again, we stress the importance of having good travel insurance.
  
  AMENDMENTS
  Once documentation has been issued and sent to you an amendment fee of NZ $100.00 will apply, per amendment.  Amendment fees will not apply if you are extending your reservation.

Errors & Omissions: In keeping with our Personal Service Policy all quotations are hand typed and not a computer generated form. Unfortunately human errors can occur and if any quoted rate is lower than the rate published by the supply company we reserve the right to call this an error and re-quote at the correct rate.
